Soully Yours is a personalized matchmaking service founded by Karuna Punjabi Katara, a New Age Matchmaker.

With Soully Yours, Karuna hopes to redefine the idea of matchmaking in India and give a “human touch” to the sacred marriage of two souls, two families, and occasionally even two diverse cultures.

OBJECTIVE

The task was to create the brand’s unique and recognizable visual identity. The aim was to design something that grabs the attention of the target audience and of the competitors.

For this, the client gave us a simple yet complete brief – a logo that exudes ELEGANCE.

Luxury, grace, supremacy, and refinement are a few qualities and feelings that, in our opinion, elegance conjures. It’s crucial to consider which of these qualities best fits a company while creating an exquisite elegant logo. Our designer understood that she needs to establish the cornerstone of our client’s enduring brand identity, which will ultimately foster customer loyalty.

IDEA & EXECUTION

We are aware that people’s attention spans are getting shorter, especially those of customers. Enterprises have ~2 seconds to persuade potential consumers that their products/services are worthwhile. Therefore, to accurately convey the company’s core values, we set out to design a logo that would seize their attention instantaneously.

Designing for a new business can be challenging, albeit more so if you don’t understand the types of services they offer and the target audience they hope to draw in.

  • First and foremost, the core team had a detailed discussion call with the founder to learn about their preferences, expectations, and—most crucially—their “no-nos”.
  • Post the discussion and an exhaustive brainstorming session with our internal team, our designer began making the masterpiece you see today — sketching, producing the low-fidelity version of the logo, digging for the fonts to use, and ultimately deciding on the process for creating the new logo.
  • We aimed to create a logo that reflected Karuna’s bold and cutting-edge approach to this industry. We wanted to emphasize the concept of “Forever” by using an infinity symbol while being specifically distinct from other well-known and established matrimonial sites.
  • The next step was to chalk up design samples that were sophisticated and classy while also standing out from the usual ones that feature hearts, swans, and flowers in pink and red. No dating apps vibes as well.


We chose to utilize elements that represent the brand’s reputation, dependability, and quality against a color palette, including rustic red and brown, as requested by the client. To assure authenticity, the customer first requested taglines based on short words and even considered using Hindi-language taglines. However, the client ultimately decided to use the tagline “Where Me Becomes You” to highlight the founder’s vision – to foster emotional intimacy, mutual respect, and equality in all facets of life.

IMPACT

The client appreciated the final logo for Soully Yours, and it got a lot of positive feedback online. It effortlessly connected with both its existing users and potential new users, strengthening Soully Yours’ brand identity.

FINAL REVEAL

Our team shared samples that share a visceral observation and understanding of matrimony and more importantly, emotional connection, which in turn portrays natural elegance. This strategy was successful for Soully Yours, a company whose brand values include emotional openness, intimacy, and transparency.
